| Jammu Lawyers oppose service taxes, go on strike | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, JULY 8: Today in an extra-ordinary meeting of Bar Association Jammu was held under the Chairmanship of its President Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi has decided to suspend the work in all Courts for two days July 9, 2009 and July 10, 2009 to protest against the service tax imposed on the lawyers.
General Secretary Rajesh Thappa describes the imposition of service tax on the lawyers as arbitrary, unjust and unmindful act of the Govt which will ultimately burden the common masses. JNF
