Early Times Report Jammu, Jul 8: A fresh batch of 1,640 pilgrims today left for Amarnath cave shrine in the South Kashmir Himalayas, official spokesman said. The pilgrims, comprising 985 men, 359 women, 44 children and 252 Sadhus, left for the Amarnath shrine in 37 buses, 11 light motor vehicles and two motorcycles from the Yatri Bhawan here, the spokesman added. The two-month-long yatra started from shorter Baltal route on June 15, after one week's delay, while traditional Pahalgam-Chandanwari route was opened for pilgrims on June 26.
