| One killed four others injured as tree falls on Army vehicle | | |

Jammu, July 9
An army personnel was killed and four others injured when a tree fell on their vehicle on Noushera-Kalal area, 122 kms from here, police said today.
Police reports said in a report filed by Major Suraj Singh of NCA Maratha at police station Nowshera that a 2.5 Ton vehicle number 08C09/3595308 coming from Kalal to Nani Post when reached at Deep Forest one Pine tree suddenly fell on vehicle, resulting in the death of one jawan namely Chandra Kant Nogag and critical injuries to four others. Inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC have been initiated at police station and body handed over to concerned unit after completing all formalities.
The accident took place when an army truck was on its way to Kalak border post from from Nayee Post when the tree fell on it killing Naik Chanderkanta, a native of Karnataka. Three others including JCO subedar Bapo Swaroop, havaldar Bojan Rao and sepoy Jijavaro Patil were injured and have been hospitalised.
