| Accused in Kupwara assanlt-suicide case held | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, JULY 09- Mr. Ashiq Hussain Peer S/o Noor-ud-Din Peer R/o Hiri Trehgam who has been identified by family members of the deceased lady as main culprit alleged for causing death of Amina Masoodi D/o Ghulam Ahmad Masoodi, Dalipora has been caused.
The SSP said that at 8 a.m today the FIR was lodged by family members of deceased against Ashiq Hussain Peer for his alleged assault on Amina Masoodi.
Immediately SSP Kupwara along with DSP Headquarter reached the spot. He said that Ashiq Hussain Peer was close relative of the family of Amina Masoodi. Therefore, it helped police in getting accused identified and arrested Ashiq Peer is presently lodged in police lock up.
The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Mr. Showket Mir constituted 11 member doctors team for conducting postmortem of dead body of Amina Masoodi. In the meantime, three special doctors team headed by Doctor Farida Noor, Head of the Department of Forensic of Government Medical College, Srinagar along with doctor Abida and other doctors were rushed to join the doctors team constituted by DC Kupwara. All the doctors have conducted the postmortem.
The DC has appreciated the people of Trehgam and surrounding area who have fully cooperated with the administration for smooth conduct of investigation and leading to arrest of the accused.
