| Postmaster, among two, OGWs apprehended in Mendhar | | Major tragedy averted with timely detection of powerful IED in Gool | | JAMMU SEPT-26- A major tragedy was averted with the timely detection of an powerful Improvised Explosive Device on Gool-Sangaldan road in Udhampur district while two Over Ground Workers, including a Postmaster, reportedly assisting ultras in their anti-national activities were apprehended at Jogi Mohalla 2 Km North-West of Mendhar in Poonch district. An official spokesman said that two OGWs alleged to be couriers of terrorists who were apprehended at Jogi Mohalla in Mendhar today have been handed over to Police for interrogation. The details are being ascertained, the spokesman added. The OGWs arrested have been identified 22 year Mohammed Khaliq son of Shahid Mohammed and 35 year Mohammd Yaqub Postmaster Surankot son of Kamluddin both residents of Jogi Mohalla. An official spokesman said that an Improvised Explosive Device weighing between 10-12 kgs was detected at Duksar Nallah on Gool-Sangaldan road in Udhampur district today. The reports said device was reportedly planted by three militants of HM outfit namely Ajaz Ahmed son of Ahmedu of Sumber, Mumtaz Ahmed son of Halim Gujjar of Hara and Riaz Ahmd son of Akber Shah of Gazar Sola at Duksar Nallah Bakerwal Morh Gole. The information was shared with NCA by the security forces and accordingly the information was passed to ROP of the concerned unit who with the help of detector dog Sandhya succeeded in detecting the planted IED kept in a plastic jar weighing 10-12 kg buried under the rubble on Gool-Sa |
