7/10/2009 11:22:24 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT:
JAMMU, JULY 10: Jammu University Teachers Association (JUTA) today extended its full support to the on-going token strike of the Non-Teaching and Non-Gazetted Employees Associations of Jammu University for its demand of immediate implementation of Sixth Pay Commission report. In a statement issued here today, the JUTA has stressed upon the concerned authorities to implement the Sixth Pay Commission report in toto immediately as some neighbouring Universities in some of the states have already implemented the sixth Pay Commission report.
“The delay in implementation of the 6th Pay Commission Report in J&K is creating resentment among the University teaching community” said the statement adding that the implementing authorities should immediately decide on this important issue. JUTA also hoped that the demand would be met soon otherwise they will decide upon their future course of action in this regard as soon as the University reopens after summer break.
