| Baglihar project unit shutdown, turbine develops fault | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 10 Power generation of one of the three 150 MW units of 450 MW Baglihar Hydro Electric Power Project has shut down after its turbine developed some technical fault, a officer of project said.
"We have shut down one unit for a week after some technical faults were found in the turbine. The repair work is being undertaken," Executive Engineer, Baglihar HEPP, Sudhir told from Chanderkote.
He further said that the turbine is in guarantee period and is being repaired for early re-start of power generation of one of three units.
Two units of 150 MW each of 450 MW project are running fine and only one unit was shut down for a week, he said adding that due to shutdown there is shortfall of power generation.A team of German engineers have also arrived at Chanderkote base project and started the repair work today.
