| Sweepers union calls on municipal chairman | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, July 11: Sweepers union came to the chairman of municipal council Kathua, Rajinder Singh Bubby and urged to fulfill the demands. They said that a provision was made by the government in 1988 in which the person who works for the time period of five years as a daily wager will be promoted as permanent in the committee. And from the provision of 1996 the time period of daily wager was changed to seven years. They said government failed to give the employees as permanent status as these sweepers are working in organization from the last 19, 15, 17 and many more years.
President sweepers union Sawan Cheetah demanded relief from the concerning authorities but they not take any action. The whole sweepers committee of Jammu province appealed to the authorities to take necessary action.
