| JURSEA urges for Central University | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 12: In a meeting held here Vikas Sharma President JURSEA urged the centre and the state government for setting of the Central University in the Jammu at an earliest. He said that where the proposal of coming up of the central university in the Jammu was put few years back but nothing has been done so far. He said that congress government even after coming back to power has not done anything for setting up the central university in Jammu and is lagging behind. Sharma said that student community is eagerly waiting for the coming up of Central University in the Jammu as this is going to benefit them a lot. He said that where the rumors of shifting of central university to Kashmir is not going to help the student community due to the ongoing militancy there and it will be of great set back to the student community. Sharma further, said that Jammu University the scholars should also be treated at par, that is, on the pattern of Central University, and scholarship amount shall be enhanced upto Rs 15,000 and Rs 12,000 for PhD and M Phil every scholars respectively. Sharma has urged the Chief Minister of the state to intervene in the issues of setting up central university in Jammu at an earliest.
