| PUCL seeks clarification over Shopian report | | |

Jammu July 13: Balraj Puri, Convenor PUCL J&K State, has sought clarification from the state government regarding the charge of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry that the controvarsial portion of its report on Shopian tragedy had been messed up by the government and was not a part of the report.
He condemned that part, whosoever might be responsible for it, in which Nilofar and her husband were accused of having bad character and bad reputation and that the latter had earned disproporationate property. For even if the accusations were true, under no moral or constitutional law accused are enlitted to be murdered and women to be raped, Puri said.
