EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JULY 13: Adjudging erasing of inter-district recruitment verdict of Supreme Court as unfair, senior Congress leader Abdul Ghani Kohli asserted that as per the court orders 10% and 8% reservation used to be given to the aspirants of the reserved categories but if the law gets introduced possibility of getting jobs for these Gujjar and Bakerwal candidate will become impossible.
“There are no SC/ST and OBC categories in Valley but as per the SC verdict reserved categories candidates were getting employment in Valley on the bases of inter-district recruitment plan” he said and added though educated youth less in number still backlog were filled through the scheme. He urged upon the government to consider the future of unemployed youth of unprivileged class of the society and then only take the appropriate decision. He said that issue will be apprised to the party high command in Delhi for the timely addressing.
Sheding light over the dramatic attitude of rebels in the Congress and National Conference, Kohli insisted for raising issue of their non induction through a proper platform instead of exhibiting drama on the roads and streets. Referring senior Congress leaders Chowdary Mohammad Aslam, who felt dishonored by not getting a berth in cabinet and resigned from leader of legislature party post, Kohli reminded that statement or any action will subject one to indiscipline and revolt towards party high command. He said that Chowdhary should not forget that despite his defeat in last two terms he was appointed as President of Congress as well as Member Parliament by the party high command. Advocate Khalid Chowdary, President Gujjar Sabha Sher Ali and Chowdary Mohmmad Sadiq was also present on the occasion.
