| Anara case: SIT wants fresh medical check | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 13: The Special Investigation Team filed an application before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu for issuance of a direction to the Principal and Superintendent Government Medical College Jammu for the Medical Examination of Anara Gupta, an aspiring model of the city who had landed in a porno-CD controversy few years back.
This is in the compliance to the directions of directorate of Forensic Science, Ministry of Home Affairs New Delhi for re-examination of the seized CDs through a high level board of expert scientist, the SIT took permission of this Court for sending seized material to the directorate which was granted vide order May 10, 2007.
The Director cum Chief Forensic Scientist vide his letter dated October 16, 2007 intimated that photographs and CDs pertained to different time period and hence final analysis could not be done, so they asked for additional information in the shape of photographs and measurements including height of the suspect lady. The said information and photographs can only be collected by the SIT with the help of board of expert of doctors preferably females who can take the necessary measurements and at the same time keep the sanctity of the female suspect intact.
According to the Source after direction of Court to the Medical Authority, the Medical Authority asked SIT for providing some material for the medical examination of lady, which was not provided to the Medical Authority and case is pending for providing additional information to the directorate of Forensic Science, Ministry of Home Affairs New Delhi.
