Sulking party men taken on decision making side

Jammu, July 13: Two days after expansion of Omar Abdullah ministry, the National Conference has reconstituted its Central Working Committee with 28 members on board and four permanent special invitees.
The newly constituted Central Working Committee –the highest decision making body of the party –has taken on board almost all those members who are presently sulking over denial of berths in the Omar ministry. “Those who could not make it to ministry have been taken on the decision making side”, commented a senior NC leader even as he admitted the dissent was running deep.
Sources said that after settling down Omar’s ministry issue, the NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah wants to activate the party cadres so that the factor of being in government is utilized for expansion and strengthening of party. Immediately after reconstitution of the CWC, Farooq has summoned its meeting for July 19 at Nawa-e-Subh complex National Conference headquarters in Srinagar.
The members of the CWG include Dr Abdullah, President, Sheikh Nazir Ahmad, General Secretary, Omar Abdullah, Abdul Rahim Rather, Sakina Itoo, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan, Ali Mohammad Naik, Perzada Ghulam Ahmad Shah, Main Altaf Ahmad, Mubarak Gul Aga Syed Roohullah,, Sardar Dharam Veer, Mohammad Yousuf Taing, Ali Mohamnmad Dar, Vijay Bakaya, Sheikh Ghulam Rasool, Mir Saifullah, Qamar Ali Akhoon, Choudhary Mohammad Shafi, Surjit Singh Salathia, Sardar Harbans Singh, Syed Mushtaq Ahmad Bukhari, Rachpal Singh, Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy, Ram Paul, Javid Rana, Rattan Lal Gupta, Sajjad Ahmad Kitchloo and Bimla Luthra.
Permanent special invitees include Aga Syed Bakir, Dr Chaman Lal, Abdul Gani Malik and Vijay Laxmi Dutta. There would be 18 special invitees, the release said.
