Jammu, July 14: Batwal community welfare associations have strongly criticized the ban imposed on inter-district reservation for SC and ST candidates by the state government.
In a meeting of association chaired by master Ajaib Singh Mottan also criticized the delay being caused by the social welfare department in granting the scholarships to SC students and as such the association urged the minister for social welfare to issue directions to the directorate to expedite the disbursement of the scholarships at the earliest so that the students may meet their educational needs and continue with their studies diligently
Prominent among those who attended the meeting included Ex MLA Sat Paul Lakhotra, Capt Behari Lal Sandhu, Thoru Ram Dogra, R.L. Kaith, Rakesh Kumar Lakhotra, Rashpal Chand Kaith, Des Raj Kaith, Beli Ram, Madan Raj Kaith, Ram Dass Kaith, Bachan Lal, Ram Lal Lakhotra and Dharminder Lakhotra.
