| Bhagani Kesari dangal: Sunny, Benia share title | | |

JAMMU, July 14: Sunny of Punjab and Benia of J&K Police shared the Annual Bhagani Kesari Vishal Dangal title after the main bout fought between them ended in a draw at Bhagani in block Bhalwal of district Jammu.
The undecided main bout lasted for 32 minutes resulting into organizers awarded both the wrestlers a cash prize of Rs 4000 each. The prizes were given away by chief guest Shiv Kumar Sharma, president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and Member State Sports Council. Former Sarpanch, Mohd Anwar Khan was guest of honour.
The second main bout was won by Jakker Hussain of Jammu, who defeated Rishi Paul to get a cash prize of Rs 3000. Rishi Paul of Punjab awarded Rs 2,500. In the third main bout, Roshan Lal of Muthi in Jammu emerged winner outplaying wrestler Arfan Pathan of Maharashtra. Onkar Singh of BSF won the fourth bout beating Shuban of Madhya Pradesh while fifth bout went wrestler Satish of Jullandhar, who defeated Bobari of Shiv Mandir Akhara in Jammu.
Annual Bhagani Kesari Vishal Dangal 2009 was organized by Bhagani Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. In all, 57 bouts took place in the said dangal between wrestlers from within and outside the state.
Members and technical officials who helped in smooth conduct of the event included Mohd. Anwar Khan, Sham Singh, Sham Lal, Hazi Mohd. Ashraf, Bittu Raina, Master Ali Akbar, Galli Raina, Hazi Mohd. Shafi, Shiv Ram, Des Raj, Krishan Gopal, Manjoor Hussain, Mohd. fareed, Ch. Mohd. Sadiq, Som Raj, Om Parkash Sharma (N.I.S Wrestling Coach) and Allah Mai (Ranga).
Others Results:-Kulbir Singh of Jammu bt Pawan of Bhawani (Haryana), Sudesh of Agra Uttar Pradesh bt Mohd Akram of Jammu, Pawan Kumar Bhawani (Haryana) bt Darshan Lal of Sarore (Jammu), Murad Ali of Jagti Nagrota bt Manoj Kumar of UP, Jakker bt Manjoor, laket Ali bt Jameet Lal, Naresh bt Balli, Mulk Raj bt Gian Chand, Ameen bt Lucky, Vijay Singh bt Arjun, Dillar Khan of Jammu bt Manoj Kumar of Sonipat (Harayana). Bouts between Attar Din and Ajit, Rahul and Kharppa and Kala and Prem Verma ended in a draw.
