Jammu, Jul 14 : Two people were arrested for raping a 55-year- old deaf and dumb married woman in remote village of mountaneous Ramban district in Jammu region.
''A woman identified as Sakina, 55, wife of Gola, was raped on Saturday by two people when she was grazing cattle in village Dandri of Ramban district,'' police sources told UNI.
The woman however, last evening narrated the incident to the family members, who reported the matter to the police.
Police immediately swung into action and arrested the accused identified as Farooq Ahmed, 24, of village Seri and Zahoor Ahmed, 28, of village Dandri in Ramban district.
However, a case under sections 376, 450 and 34 of Ranbir Penal Code has been registered against them.
