| New generation has started realizing strength of Sher-i-Kashmir’s strong ideology: Mubarak Gul | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, July 15: Member, Legislative Assembly, Eidgah, Mr. Mubarak Gul took over as Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah today. A large number of workers of NC, who were present on the occasion, felicitated Mr. Gul on assuming charge at the Chief Minister’s Private Office, at Church Lane, here. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gul said that NC is Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah’s party, who, throughout his life, upheld and endeared its principles and values of mutual brotherhood and secularism. He said he gained popularity all over the world with these lofty principles and added that increasing popularity of Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah is also due to these principles being followed by him. Mr. Gul said the legacy left behind by the late leader in the form of NC should be strengthened by all of us, adding that this party has always stood for people’s welfare and development. He called upon the workers to further strengthen this party at all levels as it reflects urges and aspirations of the people of all the three regions of the State. Mr. Gul assured the people that he would be meeting them every day to address their concerns and problems. He said he would be visiting all districts and government offices to have on-spot appraisal of people’s problems and development needs and would ensure that benefits of development works and welfare schemes percolate down to the masses. The Advisor urged the officers to work with zeal and vigour and strictly adhere to directions issued by the Chief Minister from time-to-time for the prosperity of the State. Referring to unemployment problem, Mr. Gul said that the State is rich in natural resources including tourism, handicrafts and horticulture sectors, which are being exploited by the government to provide employment to educated youth. Earlier, speakers while felicitating Mr. Gul, thanked the Chief Minister for appointing him as his Advisor. They pledged to extend full cooperation to the Chief Minister in bringing out socio-economic transformation of the State.
