Jammu, July 15: A fresh batch of 1,356 pilgrims today left for holy cave shrine of Amarnath in South Kashmir Himalayas, an official spokesman said.
A convoy of 41 vehicles, including 27 SRTC buses, four civil buses and ten LMVs, carrying 1,356 yatris left for Amarnath shrine at 0520 hrs amid tight security cover, the spokesman said.
There were 857 men, 256 women, 25 children and 218 sadhus in the batch.
