| Lobana Samaj demands representation in council of Ministers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 16: Lobana Samaj Sudhar Sabha is the latest Sikh organization pleading for representation in the council of ministers headed by Omar Abdullah. In a meeting members held at Kotli Shah Dula at R S Pura and the chairmanship of S Gurbachan Singh, urged upon the state chief minister, Omar Abdullah to give berth to a member of Sikh community in his cabinet. The meeting observed that upliftment and welfare of Sikh community was the dream of Sher-i-Kashmir, Sheikh Mohd Abdullah. It further said that the Sikh community as a whole has always remained with the National Conference and has supported the party right from 1947. The participants in the meeting had high praise for a lot done by Sheikh Abdullah and Dr. Farooq Abdullah for the welfare of the Sikh community and win their confidence. The prominent among those who attended the meeting including S Paramjeet Singh, Master Shamsher Singh, S Amrik Singh, S Balbir Singh, S Gurmeet Singh, Master Puran Singh and S Bahadur Singh.
