| Children perform on the concluding day | | Summer workshop | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 16: On he concluding day of the month long children’s’ Summer workshop organizes by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of art, culture and languages in collaboration with North zone cultural centre, Patiala four plays have been performed by the children of various age group. Zahida Parveen, director, school education, Jammu was the chief guest. While speaking on the occasion, Zahida Parveen, director, school education appreciated the participating children and said that cultural academy is doing condemnable job through this childrens’ summer workshop as a regular feature. She said that this is the right time to exploit the talent of the children who are the future of the great India. She also complimented the director, Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Sr. Drama instructor who conducted the theatre workshop and said that through these plays the talent of the youngers was properly exposed. Earlier, while welcoming the distinguished guests, parents and the prominent citizens Shamima Akhtar, special officer for cultural activities (J) G-I said that during the summer session academy has organized number of activities in the filed of art, literature and culture. She told that more than 150 students of various age group have participate this month long summer workshop and it is a matter of pleasure that instructors of that workshop worked hard and tried to accommodate all the participants in this concluding function on both the days. The aim of organizing these workshops is to make the children to sensitize them towards themselves and their surroundings through performing and visual arts activities and also inculcate the values by learning by doing method.
