| Several bodies join hands for Central University | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU , JULY 16: Saying that State Govt hell bent upon another agitation in Jammu, the amalgam of various students organization Central University Joint Action Committee (CUJAC) has threatened mass agitation if Central University sanctioned for Jammu shifted to Kashmir.
Talking to media persons here today, member of the committee Mohinder Pal Singh Pandu said that various Student organizations, political parties, NGO'S under a single banner have decided to fight for the Central University Jammu which was earlier planned to be establish in Jammu is now shifted to Kashmir.
Asking the state Govt to clear its vision about the central university, he said, if the central university is not to be established in Jammu the Central University Joint Action committee will agitate against the disparity with the Jammuites.
It is decided by the Union Government to sanctioned central University to Jammu and IIM to Kashmir, this Government hell bent upon to discriminate Jammu to appease Kashmir by shifting Central University to Kashmir, he said.
Committee also alleged that the state government has already planned to establish the central university in the Samba District of Jammu province where 6000 kanal of land has already being in the process to acquire but under some pressure create a sense of inequality, injustice in the mind of the people of Jammu by shifting it to Kashmir.
The student organizations which were joined hands under the banner of CUJAC included JJSF, Panther Students Union. Jammu Kashmir Student Union, Joint Action Committee, JSSM, Sangharsh, PSA, YKD, NSUI, SSF, JKSSP, NYC, DLF etc. The socio-political organizations include Kranti Dal J&K, Dogra Liberation Front.
Meanwhile the committee requested to the various other students, political, social organizations, NGOS, Trusts, Samitis and civil society to stand for the common cause of the Jammuites.
