| Mankotia asks Govt to clarify stand | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU , JULY 16: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) State president and MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia asked the Govt desist from shifting Central University sanctioned for Jammu to Kashmir. Talking to media persons here today, Mankotia said that since Jammu has been facing discrimination at the hands of successive State Government in terms of delimitation, development, employment, funds, education etc is once again comes true from the fact that Central University sanctioned for Jammu by Union Government in 2008 has been shifted to Kashmir Valley. It is unfortunate this Government like previous one hell upon discriminating Jammu in terms of education which will not be tolerate at any cost by the Jammuties, he said and warned the Government that any move on their part to shift Central University to Kashmir will invite serious repercussions as we will digest further discrimination. He informed that yesterday Government published advertisement in newspapers demanded teaching and non-teaching staff and mentioned that prescribed application form shall be submitted to Temporary Office of University at Hyderpora Kashmir. He said that office of the University should be opened where for University sanctioned not somewhere else. Mankotia said that Central University in Jammu will help the students of whole state as students dont want to go their due to present unrest in Kashmir valley. He assured that people that JKNPP will raise this issue from road to Assembly and if Government shift University to Kashmir will launch agitation Ghulam Ali Engineer, State president, Yuva Panthers was also accompanied by Mankotia in the press conference.
