| Senior Snooker: Hilal, Zahoor among winners | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, July 16: Hilal Ahmed, Zahoor Ahmed, Mudassir Nath and Mudassir Manzoor won their respective matches to advance in the ongoing Senior Snooker event of the Srinagar District Billiards and Snooker Championships at Bakshi Stadium, here.
While Mudassir trounced Syed Shabir 2-1 in a well contested match, Hilal Ahmed defeated Imran Dar in straight frames. Mudassir Nath won his match against Burhan Mushtaq 2-1, followed by the victory of Zahoor Ahmed over Amit Surma 2-0 in another match of the day.
“Eight qualified people shall be playing the quarterfinals league round after the first and second round of knock-out stages in senior snooker event,” joint secretary of the Association, Umar Humayun told SAN.
The detailed results: Mudassir Manzoor bt Syed Shabir 45-77, 66-26, 60-49; Hilal Ahmed bt Imran Dar 64-34, 78-17. Mudassir Nath bt Burhan Mushtaq 47-75, 69-27, 66-41; Zahoor Ahmed bt Amir Surma 77-26, 62-29.
