| 151 exchange sides via LoC | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, July 16: A record number of 151 people, including 65 women and 21 children, cross sides in the Karvan-e-Aman bus, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) today. Official sources said the number of tourists from PoK continued to be on higher side as 57 residents of other side of the Line of Control (LoC), including 26 women and seven children, arrived here this afternoon after crossing the Aman Setu bridge near the last Indian military post on the LoC, on foot. This was for the first time the guests had arrived here to meet their relatives after their separation in 1947. They said seven residents of this side, including three women, who had crossed over to other side, also returned to their homes here today after spending several weeks with their relatives in PoK. Sources said 77 resident of PoK, who had arrived here in the Karvaan-e-Aman buses in the past also left for their homes after meeting their relatives. However, only ten resident of the Kashmir valley, including five women, also travelled to PoK to meet their relatives there. The bus service was introduced in 2005 to enable the families divided in 1947 to meet each other.
