Srinagar, July 17: Asserting that the Jammu and Kashmir Police has emerged as one of the leading forces in the country by dint of its dedication and valour, Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. Kuldeep Khoda impressed upon all ranks to keep their commitment to the job and achieve greater heights of excellence according to the aspirations of people of the State.
Mr. Khoda was addressing an impressive function organized at the Police Headquarters (PHQ) here this evening to bid farewell to Mr. Mohammad Suliman Salaria, DIG (Administration) and Mr. Javaid Riyaz, AIG (Personnel) PHQ on their transfers as DIG Railways and S.S.P. Srinagar respectively. He also maintained that the State Police has come up in a big way in tackling the different situations and also discharging its duties of normal policing.
While commenting on the recent successes achieved by the State Police, Mr. Khoda said that it was due to the tireless efforts of all the ranks that we were able to crack the sensational cases which had caused an unrest among masses and it has further strengthened the force to meet the challenges with fortitude and zeal.
Mr. Khoda commended the services of Mr. Salaria as DIG (Administration) and Mr. Javaid as AIG (Personnel) in PHQ in strengthening the functioning of the Police Headquarters and exuded confidence that they will continue to work with greater dedication in serving the people during their new assignments. He appreciated the professional attitude of both the officers in discharging their duties and hoped that they would continue to work with the same zeal and dedication in their new assignments. “We hope that both the officers would work with renewed vigour and build the image of the organization which has a long history of serving the people inspite of so many odds. This is the most important phase in the history of JKP when we should be more responsible in discharging our professional duties and at the same time win the goodwill of the people by providing better policing which can lead to lower incidents of crime”, he maintained.
Earlier the IGP (personnel), Mr. Ram Lubhaya in his address appreciated the working of both the officers and hoped that they would continue to serve the people with the same professional attitude.
