| Lakhotra highlights demands of Batwals | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal community welfare association president Ex MLA Sat Paul has urged the governor NN Vohra, chief minister Omar Abdullah and Deputy chief minister Tara Chand, to seriously look into the pending issues and burning demands of the members of the Batwal community and take effective measures to mitigate their sufferings and fulfill their genuine demands. The president Lakhotra said the Batwal community constitutes a huge segment of population in the state but the government has never given any attention towards it. Lakhotra urged the governor and CM to endorse their prime demand of ‘Economic and Employment Package’ for the Batwal community, to the Government of India with his recommendations, so that the same is considered on priority by the government. Lakhotra said that the condition of his community members is very pitiable because of being in poverty.
