| TADA Court asks Home Secretary to produce Yasin Malik | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July-18: Presiding Officer TADA Court Jammu today issued fresh notice to Home Secretary (HS) J&K government Srinagar for production of accused Mohammad Yaseen Malik JKLF Supremo in the Court on next date. TADA Court while issuing notice to HS, observed that vide order July 11, 2009 direction was given that Yaseen if under house arrest shall be produced in the Court by the prosecution/state agency. Copy of the order was sent to Home Secretary J&K government Srinagar and Joint Director and Special IGP CBI New Delhi for toning up their prosecution agencies. Earlier accused Javid Ahmed Mir, Ali Mohd Mir present, accused Mohd Rafiq alias Nanaji present under custody, accused Showkat Bakshi, Javid Zargar and Manzoor Ahmed are exempted for today as application filed on their behalf by the Advocate Yogesh Bakshi. Regarding Accused Yaseen Malik, counsel for the accused submitted that he is still under house arrest. This has not been disputed by the prosecution. The summon issued by the TADA Court handed over to the prosecution for execution. Special Public Prosecutor seeks adjournment to file objections on next date, Court granted adjournment. This order has been passed in two cases investigated and challenged presented by the CBI in kidnapping of Dr. Rubiya Syed daughter of the then Union Home Minister Mufti Mohd Syed and killing of five air-force personnel. These cases are of the years 1989 and 1990 respectively. The investigation initially conducted by the state police and thereafter case was handed over to the CBI for investigation and CBI after completion of investigation presented the challan in the Court of TADA and these cases are pending for the so many years for framing charge/ discharge.
