| Delegation led by Hari Singh meets Soz | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 18: A delegation of Vijaypur block led by Thakur Hari Singh-PCC Vice president and contested candidate from Vijaypur constituency met PCC president and former union minister Prof. Saifuddin Soz-MP and brought his notice the problems of the people.
As per release, they said that the central university sanctioned for J&K during the previous state govt. should be opened at Vijaypur, as the site for the same has already been earmarked. But it is understood that the present govt. has planned to shift this university to somewhere in Kashmir valley which would be injustice with the people of Jammu.
Hari Singh also apprised Soz that Vijaypur Power Grid station has developed some fault for the last 7-8 months due to which there is voltage problems in the entire area of Vijaypur. The farmers have suffered a lot, as they could not operate their water pumps in absence of adequate power supply and could not sow Kharief crops in time. He demanded that Vijaypur Power Grid Station be repaired immediately.
He also demanded a Degree College for Women at Ramgarh and special recruitment drive for Samba district.
Prof. Soz gave patient hearing to the deputation and assured them that their demands would be taken up with the concerned authorities and problem addressed amicably, the release added.
