Jammu, July 18: Trikuta Nagar police have solved fake kidnapping case and arrested the accused from Jaipur.In a dramatic incident one person got himself kidnapped from Trikuta Nagar area and demanded Rs 20 lakh from his own in laws.The matter was informed to police and accordingly a police team led by SHO Trikuta Nagar Vijay Choudhary under the supervision SDPO East Sandeep Mehta was constituted by SSP Jammu Manohar Singh .During investigation police came to know that one Puneet Sethi son of Vinod Sethi resident Bari Brahamana got himself kidnapped from Trikuta Ngar area and phoned to in-laws demanded Rs 20 lakh ransom to release their son-in-law .Police verified the phone calls number and the same team raided in Jaipur,Rajasthan and arrested Puneet.During questioning he revealed police that he required money and he told his wife identified as Pooja Sethi to lend the same from her parents which she refused and he made plan of his own kidnapping. He also made phone calls to in-laws identified as Surinder Arora resident of Panjtirthi and demanded Rs 20 lakh as ransom.A case under section 364 RPC has been stand registered against the accused in Trikuta Nagar police station. Puneet married to Pooja 3 years ago and the parents of Pooja gave handsome dowry to him, but lust for more in cash perhaps the reason behind the plot, police was of view.
