Greek national dead in road mishap

Jammu, July 18 , : A nineteen year (19) old Greek national died in road accident on Jammu-Srinagar National highway late Friday night.
According to police, "a private taxi in which the Greek national was travelling veered off the hilly road near Kot Jagir falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station.
The Greece national, identified as Ioannis Morkotulus, was on way to Srinagar along with fellow passengers when the taxi bearing registration number JKO1-M 0341 veered off the slippery road. Incessant rains had lashed Jammu region following strong wind/dust storm late Friday night.
According to police spokesman, "the dead body of the Greek national, native of Thessaloniki in Greece, has been sent for carrying out post mortem and will be kept in the hospital mortuary."
At least 10 passengers were present in the private taxi when it met with an accident. The injured were rushed to the Government medical college hospital in Jammu while Greece national was declared brought dead by the doctors. The Greece national was having valid travel documents in his possession.
