| Youth congress demands dissolution of M.C. Ramnagar | | | Early Times Report Ramnagar, July 19: Mulkh Raj, senior vice-president district youth congress, Udhampur, in an informal meeting of youth congress activists in Ramnagar has demanded dissolution of municipal committee Ramnagar over the exposure mast light scandal in Ramnagar township As per a release, he called upon the municipal committee to take the collective responsibility of the matter where the lights meant for Ramnagar township have been purchased at almost double their prevailing market rates. He also demanded registration of a criminal case in this very regard. He criticized the local M.L.A who also belongs to the same party to which the president and eleven out of thirteen municipal members belong to the said party. Being an elected representative of the area, he has tried to throw veil over the issue by installing his self made name plates and threatening the genuine protestors with privilege motions and launching criminal and civil proceedings for defamation. He further accused that during the past twelve years of Panther rule, the entire Tehsil of Ramnagar has reeled under a worst reign of under-development, misgovernance, maladministration and corruption. He accused that a sweeping populace of Ramnagar is still bereft of basic living facilities like drinking water, electricity, health and medicare facilities, road connectivity and other facilities, the release added.
