| Niaz for uninterrupted supplies of basic amenities | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU 19TH JULY: Former Minister and sitting Member Legislative Assembly Bhaderwah Constituency Mohammad Sharief Niaz in a statement has expressed his dismay over the shortage of essential commodity in the far flung and remote of his constituency particularly in Bhalessa area as the people of this area are facing a lot of difficulties for want of Ration, Kerosin oil and LPG. He has appealed the Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for taking immediate steps for supply of ration to the people of District Doda by the CAPD department in general and Bhalessa area in particular. Niaz also exhorted the government for deployment of more SRTC Buses in the hilly district, regularization of daily wagers who have completed their seven years of services in Forest, PHE, PDD, PWD, RDD and Agriculture departments, enhancement of wages in favour of the PHE daily /contractual workers who are being paid from Rs.500/- per month at par with their counterparts being paid in Kashmir Division i.e. Rs.2100/- per month, restoration of defunct schemes of PHE, Besides, posting of staff in the Degree College and other educational institutes as the students are facing a lot of problems for want of Teaching staff. He also demanded for absorption of Technocrats and ITI trained youths against the vacant vacancies so that they may be able to sustain. Niaz has demanded for opening of Central University in Jammu which stands sanctioned by Govt. of India for which land has already identified in Jammu Division.
