| TADA court issues arrest warrants against two facing trial for attack on ITB personals | | | Jammu, September, 27:- Presiding Officer TADA/POTA Court Wani ND issued non-bailable arrest warrants against Muzafar Ahmed Shah s/o Mohd Maqbool r/o Bandipora and Javed Ahmed s/o Abdul Gani r/o Raj Bagh Srinagar, who are absent. The non-bailable warrants sent to SSP Baramulla and SSP Srinagar for execution and early report with the direction that in case they failed to execute the warrants, proceedings against them will be initiated under law.
The accused along with other accused Namely Abdul Rashid, Manzoor Ahmed Bhat, Mohd Rafiq, Mustaq Ahmed Bhat, Mohd Shafi, who are present in the Court and accused Farooq Ahmed alias Bitta karate, who has been brought in custody from District Jail Kathua, while they were lodged in the highly security central jail Kot-Bhalwal, on December 16, 1991 they assembled in the jail and started shouting Anti-Indian slogans and broken door and windows of the jail, when the ITB personals, who are on duty came their, the accused persons started pelting stone upon them, due to the stone pelting some of the ITB personals injured and thereafter the police came their and push them to in the barracks of the jail. A case u/s 51/353/427/148,120-B/324/336 and 147 RPC was registered against the all the accused persons. They were lateron granted bail and a case was presented in the Court of TADA, where the accused already facing trial under TADA.
Court on the application filed on behalf of one accused Nazir Ahmed Kathzoo for exemption on the ground that his father is ailing and is under diagnostic treatment and hospitalized at Srinagar. Since the accused has to look after his ailing father, Court after considering the fact exempted for one day only. |
