In spite of repeated announcements by the government about availability of rations there was acute deficiency of food in most of the rural, Kandi and hilly areas. Bukhari said that most of the ration depots were empty and people had to buy food grains at exorbitant prices from the open market. There is no control on prices either and government was almost non existent everywhere. Bukhari demanded immediate redressal of the public and retoration of cabinet approval of 11 Kg per person of ration supply. He also demanded interruption free power and water supply to the public.
