| Court granted bail to father, son who engaged person to appear in MBBS exam | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July-20: Judicial Mobile Magistrate Electricity Jammu M K Sharma today granted bail to Ashwani Kumar and his son Ankush Abrol of Reasi who were arrested by the police Nowabad Jammu under FIR No 96/2009 u/s 416/419/420/467/468/34 and 5 Prevention of unfair means of examination offence. In the bail plea police reported that accused persons hired one Gourav Singh to appear in the Common Entrance Test Conducted by the BOPEE on behalf of accused Ankush Abrol. Judicial Mobile Magistrate Electricity Jammu M K Sharma after hearing Adv Yaseer Ejaz Tak appearing for the accused persons and Senior Prosecuting Officer for the state observed that accused are in custody of the police since July 18, 2009. The police report reveals that the investigation in the case almost complete except the sample of handwriting to be taken before the Magistrate. Accused can be directed to appear before the Investigating Officer for purpose of the sample handwriting. In these circumstances the bail application is allowed. The accused are admitted to bail on furnishing surety in the amount of Rs 15000 each with the direction to appear before the IO as and when called for the purpose of investigation and for taking the sample of handwriting. Court also directed the Incharge Police station Nowabad Jammu to release the accused forthwith on obtaining personal bond to the tune of Rs 15000 each provided they are not required in any other offence.
