| Breast Cancer Screening Camp held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, JULY 21: 16 Corps Welfare Organization in collaboration with ‘ Roko Cancer Charitable Trust’ organised a ‘Breast Cancer Screening Camp` for the ladies of all ranks of army stationed at Nagrota, on 21 July 09. The camp was inaugurated by Chairperson White Knight Welfare Organization. Speaking on the occasion the Chairperson stressed the need to spread awareness about breast cancer, early detection by self examination and the need to undergo screening tests at regular intervals. There was an overwhelming response amongst ladies to undergo the breast cancer screening test conducted by lady medical officers and the team of ‘ Roko Cancer Charitable Trust`. Approximately 200 ladies came forward for the screening test. This organization has state of the art equipment for undertaking mammography for detection of early cancer. The ladies were also explained with the help of a film and pamphlets the method of carrying out self examination for early detection. The Chairperson thanked everyone for their whole hearted cooperation to make the event a success.
