| ECTA hails induction of Chib, Mailk | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 21: Engineering College Teachers Association(ECTA) has hailed the induction of Abdul Gani Malik, Minister for Higher Education, Rajinder Singh Chib, Minister for Technical and Medical Education and Dr. Manohar Lal, MoS with Independent Charge here today. In a meeting of the held under the chairmanship of Rajiv Bali, president, the ECTA members expressed satisfaction over the induction of highly qualified and dynamic leaders from Jammu region in the cabinet and hoped that they would perform as per the expectation of the people. Association members said that during past 20 years of turmoil in the state, the education sector has remained most neglected and under the leadership of young and dynamic chief minister Omar Abdullah, the government would be giving a new thrust to education sector. ECTA members said that GCET, which was established 14 years back needs urgent attention of the government as it has yet to frame pay and recruitment rules for the faculty which has been under tremendous stress due to blockade on their career advancement. Those who attended the meeting were Er. Manoj Gupta, Rajinder Gupta, Harinder Dingra, Sat Dev, Ajay Abrol, Jyoti Mahajan, Safeena-ul-Nisa and Dina Nath Sharma.
