| NC student wing leader joins PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JULY 21: President of National Conference Student Union (NCSU) Jammu University, Irfan Ahmed Qureshi along with supporters today joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a function held here today. Qureshi, who is a prominent student leader of Jammu University, formally joined PDP in the presence of senior party functionaries including Jamil Shah Kazmi and Imtiyaz Ahmed Zargar, a research scholar of Jammu University. Jamil Kazmi had contested assembly election as candidate of Panthers Party.
Speaking on the occasion, Qureshi said that he has decided to join the PDP due to policies and programmes of the party. He expressed full faith in the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti. Giving reasons for quitting NC, Qureshi said that NC-Congress regime has failed to fulfill the promises made with the educated unemployed youth. He reminded that NC leadership had promised to give stipend to the unemployed youth but nothing has been done so far.
