7/21/2009 10:16:39 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, JULY 21: A meeting of Kashmiri Pandit Welfare Forum was organized under the chairmanship of Dr.Romesh Monga .The present political scenario in respect of the community was discussed and accessed .The main agenda of the meeting remained that the National Conference is a secular party and the party usually whenever was in power, gave a ministerial birth to the community but in present scenario they have failed to give the representation in the cabinet to the community
While concluding all the members were of the view that the present government should think over the problem and appealed to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to asses the situation of the community which is in exile since 1989 and is being ignored at every stage, thus to have their representation in the cabinet is a need so that their economic settlement ,their safe return to the valley, safeguard of religious places, providing jobs to the youth of the community and other allied problems could be solved by representing the community.
