| Several deputations call on R.S. Chib | | | Early times report Srinagar, July 21-Minister for Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports and Medical Education, Rajinder Singh Chib has reiterated State Government’s commitment to resolve the problem of unemployment and assured that a strategy will be formulated shortly to tackle the issue. Minister said this while interacting with several deputations and people belonging to various walks of life who called on him to felicitate him on assuming the charge of Cabinet Minister here. They included All J&K Youth Services and Sports Employee Association, All J&K Contractual Lecturers (10+2) Forum and J&K Agri Technocrats United Forum. The deputations presented copies of memoranda to the minister and apprised him about various problems confronting them. Chib said that the coalition government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Omer Abdullah is determined to solve the unemployment crisis in a phased manner. He said that Government is keen to ensure welfare of employees at all levels, including improved working conditions,better service conditions and their promotion prospects. Minister said that Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi are fully supporting J&K State in financial and technical aspects so that the implementation of various developmental and welfare schemes is assured. Chib, however, appealed the deputationists to extend co-operation to the State Government in its initiatives and endeavours undertaken for the betterment and prosperity of the State. Moreover he assured the deputationists that their genuine demands shall be taken up with concerned authorities at the highest level for fulfillment.
