| Army orders probe into firing at recruitment camp | | | New Delhi July 21 The Indian Army has ordered an inquiry into the firing during a recruitment drive a day ago in Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh in which one person was killed and another injured. Many candidates at the army's recruitment camp in Chandauli district on Sunday had indulged in arson and vandalism alleging irregularities in the screening of candidates, forcing the military police to open fire. "We have ordered a court of inquiry into the incident," a senior Indian Army official said, requesting anonymity. Meanwhile Defence Minister A.K. Antony also has told to Parliament on Monday that the incident would be probed. "The incident is unfortunate. We will look into it," said Antony.
