| PDP demands monthly sustainable allowance for unemployed youth | | |

Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today demanded reasonable monthly sustainable allowance for the educated unemployed youth of the State as assured by the NC during pre poll time.
In a resolution passed in a special session of the party in the presence party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayed, PDP expressed concerned over problems being faced by the educated unemployed of the State, said party spokesperson.
Senior party leader and MLA Darhal Choudhary Zulfikar Ali moved the resolution which was passed unanimously. The resolution reads as “The Peoples Democratic Party in this special session resolves that every unemployed educated youth of the state be provided reasonable monthly sustenance allowance till be he secures a suitable employment”.
MLA Darhal Zulfikar Ali also reminded that the during campaigning of the assembly polls the National Conference had promised to give monthly stipend to the unemployed educated youth but nothing has been done so far.
Further highlighting miseries of the farmers residing on the International Border (IB), PDP strongly demanded reservation for those who have been living on IB. Senior leaders of the party strongly supported this demand and pointed out that similar facility has already been given to the residence of ALC and LoC.
PDP leaders in the special session also expressed concern over shortage of essential commodities especially ration in most parts of Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Ramban, Kishtwar, Reasi and Udhampur districts. Party demanded immediate release of ration in these areas to solve problems of the masses.
Senior leaders, district presidents, zonal presidents and other prominent workers of the party attended this special session which was called to discuss the latest political and economic situation in the State.
