| Jora at closing ceremony of SNIC in Leh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT NYOMA 22ND JULY: Minister for Tourism & Culture Nawang Rigzin Jora and Minister for State for Tourism Nasir Ahmad Wani accompanied by Director Tourism and Managing Director J&K Tourism Development Corporation Kashmir arrived today at Leh. Soon after their arrival the ministers attended a closing ceremony of Special National Integration Camp of NCC at Leh. While convening the good wishes and congratulation on behalf of Chief Minster J&K Omar Abudllah, Jora said that due to busy schedule of Chief Minster he could not attend the closing ceremony of Special National Integration Camp at Leh. Jora said that the Ladakh situated at such location surrounded by China and Pakistan borders and the Indian Army always protected the border of Ladakh with bravery and sacrifices, adding that the Indian solders safeguard the country be it 1962, 1971 and Kargil War. Complementing the Ladakhi solders Jora said that Ladakhi proved to be very good solders and decorated with Mahavir Chakara Bar by the Ladakhi officer namely Col. Rinchen. He further said that NCC cadets become good solders through NCC training. Nasir Ahmad Wani Minister for State in his address appreciated the cadets of various states who came to participate in All India Special National Integration Camp at Leh. Expressing his complement over the joining of girls cadets in good number in the camp Wani said India itself a symbol of integration and harmony for the whole nation and holding such camp in which cadets of different state are participating irrespective of cast, creed and religions. He stressed upon the cadets to spread the message of integration to their respective state and district to which the cadets belongs. Earlier, in his welcome speech the Deputy Director General NCC J&K Brg. Anil Gupta gave a brief resume of the aims and objectives of the camp and said that this was first six such camps being organized by the NCC in the country this year.
