JAMMU, JULY-22: Bar Association Jammu today took serious note of the recent developments in which the state government has initiated the process of shifting of Central University from Jammu to Kashmir. According to the BAJ state government is expected to treat all citizens equally irrespective of the regional and religious consistency. This is the cardinal principle of good governance.
According to the General Secretary BAJ Advocate Rajesh Thappa the move of the state government of shifting Central University from Jammu to Kashmir is an indicator of regional bias and bad governance, such decision of the government which is anti-people based solely on the religious consistency. BAJ while condemning the move of the government of shifting of Central University from Jammu to Kashmir cause upon the government to take decision for restore the setting-up central university as originally declared by the Prime Minister of India.
