| ACTF accorded farewell to income tax commissioner | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 22: Associated chamber of traders federation today accorded the grand farewell to outgoing commissioner, Income tax J&K State, Virender Singh, who is elevated to the post of director international taxation in Delhi. As per a press release, Yash Pal Gupta, president, ACTF, said, that it would be quite opportune to recall the glorious period of his administering the all important Income tax department in the state. His humane and people friendly approach to the intricate issues relating to the realization of income tax are quite laudable. His unique way of setting in motion the income tax machinery to spread awareness among the people in general and the traders in particular have won him appreciation from all quarters and in the process the graph of income tax recoveries in the state has beat all the previous records. He further added that Virender Singh has thus won the hearts of people by providing timely guidance to all those who come under the ambit of income tax that resulted into voluntary deposits of income tax as well. He added that the trading community will remember you for all time to come and I hope that your guiding force will keep our spirits ever so high and that you will be kind to keep us in mind, as and when, we need your help. We are aware that your new assignment will bring more challenges for you, but we are sure that your dedication, honesty, integrity and efficiency also will bring a psychological approach to every issue which you have so nicely demonstrated during your tenure in the state and will stand you in good stead and bring more laurels to your new assignment. On the occasion, K.K. Mittal, Addl. Commissioner Income Tax, was also present. Others who were present at the function include B.R. Kundal, MLC J&K State, prominent citizens, delegated of associated chamber of traders federation and federation of retailers associations Jammu province, the release added.
