7/23/2009 12:40:03 AM

SUMIT SHARMA
Jammu, July 22: Even as the Jammu Municipal Corporation authorities ordered reshuffle of ten Enforcement Inspectors but one of them is intact at his place despite sixth order of transfer served upon him in last several years.
The JMC authorities have ordered transfer of 10 Enforcement Inspectors from their respective wings to revenue wing of JMC, but astonishingly Enforcement Inspector Yougal Kishore Anand for the sixth time is till attached to Durga Nagar area though Joint Commissioner Administration ordered his transfer for the time from the area but he is still intact with the area he had been serving since long. Meanwhile Federation of Municipal Employees and Trade Union, chairman Devanand Gill in a meeting held today has issued circulation to employees of abstaining from the strike for implementation of sixth pay commission report.
Sources said that 10 newly promoted Enforcement Inspectors have been transferred from their respective wings to the revenue wing of JMC, order of which is approved by JMC Commissioner Mubarak Singh and issued by Secretary SP Rukwal. The officers included Kulbir Singh, Rakesh Verma, Harbipy Singh, Pretam Singh, Anil Singh, Kuldeep Kumar, Ram Khajuriya, Nelam Rajput, Subah Rani and two junior assistants namely Ruksana Bano and Gopal Krishan Sharma. They are directed to join their new place of posting with immediate effect, but Enforcement Inspector Yougal Kishore Anand who after being transferred for the 5th time from Durga Nagar area still serving in the same area, raised eyebrows of many. It has been alleged that the area corporator has full blessings on him, reason best known to both of them. It has also been alleged that the corporator’s position is so strong that every time JMC authorities transferred the Enforcement Inspector from the area, had to bow down desperately, resulting red signal to the Yougal Kishore causing heartburn to other employees. JMC authorities, which sought explanation from Enforcement Inspector Gulab Din of his negligence of his duties has been sidelined and is confined to two wards-5 and 6 who was earlier allotted Talab Tillo area.
Meanwhile, JMC employees in a meeting held today in one voice have agreed to abstain from the 6th pay commission strike as JMC authorities is all set to give them salaries as per 6th pay commission norms. Appreciating the decision taken by JMC officers including Commissioner, Joint Commissioners and Secretaries, JMC employees said that corporation has fixed their pay as per 6th pay commission therefore they do not become the part of strike.
