People protest against police for not taking action

KATHUA, JULY 23: People of Barnoti staged protest against police for not being able to fine the defaulters who hurt the students of Unique Academy, Barnoti with deadly weapons “kirch”. Huge mob of about 400 people comprising resident of Barnoti jammed the national highway for an hour. Protestors said that the police has to be conscious about the case and if police will not arrest alleged involved criminals in 24 hrs, they will intensify stir. Protestors said that FIR was lodged on Tuesday but no action was taken by the police against the criminals. Police assured that by making more efforts criminals will be arrested in short spain of time. After extending assurances people put deserted highway and warned to catch the criminals or face the consequences. Naib Sarpanch of Ghati Prithipal Singh, Gurcharan Singh, Niru Kour, Surinder Kumar, Ravinder Singh and others led the protest.
