| Aslam Castigates inner elements for dividing party | | | Early Times Report Surankote , July 23: Demanding the re-organization of State body of Pardesh Congress, Senior Congress leader , former PCC chief and MLA Surankote Ch. Mohammad Aslam today castigated the elements with in the State Congress who are bent upon to divide the party for their personal interests and advised them to shun their pity politics and awful agenda and work for the betterment of people of Jammu and Kashmir. He was addressing a mammoth rally at Dak Banglow here this afternoon.
He said “I hope that the party Leadership in New Delhi would take strong action of misadventures of unruliness elements that have caused great damage to the Party in the state. He said I have meet with all the Congress leadership at New Delhi including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, and Youth Leader Rahul Gandhi and apprised them the whole situation of the State and all the leaders have assured me that they will intervene and take an appropriate action in this matter shortly.
He said on my request Mr. Rahul Gandhi has also scheduled to visit the State in a couple of days added that he may also visit Surankote and Poonch area.
He said , no doubt that those who were appointed Ministers were chosen by the Party High Command but at the same time some leader had also played a negative role and misinformed the party about my self. He said I have cleared my stance before the party leadership. He said I have also categorically refused to accept the post of Chairman of Gujjar Bakerwal Board and my resigned from CLP leadership is final, he added. Earlier over thousands of people assembled at Dak Banglow Surankote on Jammu-Poonch highway, to expressed solidarity with their leader Ch. Aslam who was left out in a recent cabinet expansion. Ch Mohammad Aslam is six time legislature representing Surankote Constituency.
The people including women also raised slogans against the party decision came out of their houses early in the morning. Addressing the rally local leader and MLC Mir Jahangir said that we are ready for every sacrifice for our leader Ch. Mohammad Aslam.
Veteran lawyer Ch Mohammad Hussain Saleem demanded resignation of Saif-ud Din Soz, the President of Pardesh Congress Committee and Pathivi Raj Chouhan Incharge J&K. He said that Ch. Aslam is most deserving candidate of the region and qualify to be inducted into the council of Ministers.
Ch.Said Mohammad, Bashir Poswal, Ch Mohammad Amin Qamar, Rashid Kalas addresses protester at Surankote and urged UPA President Sonia Gandhi to induct Ch Aslam into the Councils of Minister.
The senior congress leader who was first made pro term speaker was earlier left out at the time of government formation in January and again on Saturday when his name did not figure in the final list of congress men inducted in the Omar Abdullah’s council of ministers he chose to resign from the post of CLP leader.
