| CM advisor given rousing reception | | NC committed to uphold secular fabric of state: Gul | | Sandeep Bhat Jammu, July 23: Mubarak Gul, advisor to the chief minister, Omar Abdullah while addressing the party workers on his arrival from Kashmir here today said that he will work as a bridge between the government and the people, so that the problems faced by the people are re-addressed at a shortest possible time. He said, CM Omar Farooq is very keen and is working hard to usher a new era in the state in all fields and added there will be equitable development of all the three regions in the state. With regard to un-employment in the state, Gul said, steps are being taken to provide employment to educated youth in the state. New avenues of employment will be generated in power sector, forest and tourism departments, he said and added J&K state has potential to generate 20000 Mw power in the state. Beside state has a good mineral wealth and in addition to this new tourist spot are being identified which can provide employment to youth of the state. He said CM Omar Abdullah is very keen to mitigate the problems of poor people. Coming down heavily on opposition parties he said, they are playing dirty politics and are dividing people on the basis of region and religion. He said national conference is the only party in the state, which has strong base and always believe in secularism, which was very dear to founder of the party, Sher-e-Kashmir, Shiekh Mohd Abdullah. He said, NC programme and policies are people oriented and development of the J&K state on all fronts. He further said, the main aim of the coalition government led Omar is to work for peace, progress and development of the state. He also asked the workers to be cautious of vested interest people who are bent upon to disintegrate the state, but their nefarious design are to be foiled at all cost. Earlier, a rousing reception was accorded to Gul on his arrival at the airport by party workers and took him to party headquarters in a rally. He also called on the chief minister at his official residence who was also likely in the town. Among others who welcomed the advisor were Harbans Singh, Mohd. Aslam Goni, Vijay Lakshmi Dutta, Surrinder Singh Bunty, Rajesh Bakshi, Ayub Jugal Mahajan, S. Peter, Gurdeep Singh Sassan, Sanjay Gupta, M.L. Munshi, Leela Jamwal and others. Meanwhile J&K rural development society also accorded grand reception in his honour at Gandhi nagar. Speaking on the occasion, Mubarak Gul, said, government is committed to solve the social, economic, health, education and un-employment problem in the state. Ashok Kaul, Hem Raj and Subash Chander and other staff members welcomed the advisor. Mubarak Gul will be available tomorrow for the general public at guest house in Jammu where he will address the grievances of the public.
