Civil defence organizes awareness camp

Jammu, July 23: Two days civil defence awareness programme on disaster management and first aid was organiszed at Banyan tree school Babiliana Jammu. As per a release, under the command of Dy. Controller civil defence, Khalil-ul-rehman, the two days awareness camp was organized. On the occasion, he said that the main objective of the programme was to make aware the teaching staff with regard to preventive measures for unexpected eventualities such as earthquake, devastating fires etc. Many experts participates in the programme include Alok Nanda, Dhrub Singh, Swaran Singh, Sudershan Singh, Niranjan Singh and Shiban Jee Bhat. He further said that the role of civil defence organization is highly appreciated, the release added.
An extra ordinary general body meeting of kashmiri Pandit legal forum was convened in the court complex Janipur to mourn and condole the untimely demise of late Piaray lal Koul an eminent advocate, writer and intellectual of the legal fraternity. As per a release the speakers described late P.L. Koul as a bold courageous and genius personality. The contribution of late writer by way of publishing a number of writings for intellectuals and common readers, mostly high-lighting the evils of the society and changing history of this state at various times. Roop Krishen Raina president of the forum described, Late P.L. Koul as true nationalist and a great human being. Being a close associate of late P.L. Koul explained him a great and fearless personality. A two minute silence was observed and the gathering prayed for peace to the departed soul and courage be bestowed to the bereaved family of late P.L. Koul to bear the shock. Among other who addressed the condolence meeting lighting the various aspects of late P.L. Koul including K.B. Kaw gen. secretary, K.L. Bhat, R.K. Dulloo, M.K. Raina, Y. Bakshi, R.K. Kuchroo, B.L. Pandita and B.K. Bhat advocates, the release added.
